
This young man on the left side of the page may look like just another young boy, but later on in life George Harrison became the lead guitarist for the Beatles.

Being a good friend of Paul McCartney's in school, George Harrison had met up with John Lennon and the rest of the Quarry Men in the late 1950's. John Lennon liked the fact that he was a good guitarist that was improving very quickly, and Paul McCartney was glad to have a fellow friend along with a strong guitarist in the group.

In 1965 the Beatles were starting to build bigger and better albums, not to mention concerts. George Harrison played a large role in the success of the Beatles during this time with his growing guitar talent, and his willingness to play for a world class band.

After working with the Hindu's in India, George Harrison came back to the United States and Great Britain in his post career. He's worked with various artists in his post career such as Bob Dylan (PICTURED ABOVE), Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison.

After a long career in Rock N' Roll, George Harrison suffers from cancer in 2001, and thn passes away on November 29th 2001. Harrison performed one more album called Brainwashed with his son and Jeff Lynne throughout the year, and it was set for release in 2002.
